This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from NXT Superstar Hideo Itami.
After Austin Aries defeated No Way Jose at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, he decided it wasn’t enough and continued the beatdown on Jose even after the bell rung. Hideo couldn’t standby backstage and continue to watch this unjust action so he went out to the ring to stop it. After throwing several punches at Aries’ face, we finally witnessed Itami fully connect his signature GTS! We have been waiting for this exact moment since he arrived to NXT in 2014 and at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, we finally got it! Hideo went on Twitter minutes after midnight on Sunday to comment about it.
This was undeniably a bit of a jab at former WWE Superstar, CM Punk who was known for using the GTS maneuver. Now that Hideo made it relevant and made it his again, I’m sure we’ll be seeing plenty more of it. Fine by me!

This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from former Divas Champion and WWE ambassador, Brie Bella.
WWE released a special of WWE 24: Women’s Evolution on Tuesday night immediately following Talking Smack. It featured the evolution of women’s wrestling from the early days, every day in between leading up to what it is today. All the women who are apart of the WWE Women’s Division, whether in NXT or on the main roster, voiced their feelings about the special. Brie’s tweet Tuesday night however hit me the most for several reasons. One being she is semi-retired and is not currently wrestling at this time; the other being she and Nikki played a vital role in creating the Women’s Division and women’s wrestling that we have today.
I won’t lie, I teared up when I read Brie’s tweet. If it weren’t for Brie encouraging Nikki to come join her on WWE’s Diva Search in 2006, the WWE would have never had discovered The Bella Twins. Both women have contributed so much to professional wrestling and if it weren’t for them, #GiveDivasAChance would have never prompted WWE to change the Women’s Division to what it is today. I am incredibly thankful for both Brie and Nikki and will forever been grateful for everything they’ve done and contributed to WWE.

This week’s Superstar of the Week comes from NXT Superstar and Cruiserweight Classic participant, Johnny Gargano.
If you have yet to witness a “Glorious Bomb”, stop reading and head over to Johnny Gargano’s Twitter page right now. It is the best thing you’ll see all day. To sum it up, Johnny and his tag team partner, Tommaso Ciampa, will sneak up on fellow NXT Superstar Bobby Roode in various situations and play his theme song “Glorious Domination”. Roode nods in approval and Gargano and Ciampa immediately imitate the same action. A fan created this Pokemon-style cartoon of Gargano, Ciampa and Roode which Gargano shared on Twitter Thursday.
Pokemon and “Glorious Bombs” have one thing in common: gotta catch them all!
What is your favorite “Glorious Bomb”? Mine is the one they did right before Roode went out into the arena during a NXT show.

This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from “The Boss,” Sasha Banks.
We all witnessed the exciting and emotional moment when Sasha successfully made Charlotte tap out while in The Bank Statement to become our new Women’s Champion. Since then, The WWE Universe has seen countless videos and photos of Sasha with the Women’s Championship belt since her win, glowing with excitement, enthusiasm and gratitude. One photo in particular Sasha shared herself on her Twitter this Wednesday of an incredible new detail made to the Women’s Championship belt.
Clearly, this only adds to Sasha’s excitement as it should! I can only imagine that this still feels so unreal to her as she’s dreamed of this moment since she was ten years old. All the hard work she’s put into making her dreams come true has certainly paid off, and she truly deserves this highlighting moment in her career. I feel confident speaking on behalf of The WWE Universe when I say we couldn’t be more proud of Sasha.

This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from 14x World Champion, Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative of WWE and Creator of NXT, Triple H.
This Tuesday, we all witnessed the highly anticipated WWE Draft on the very first live edition of Smackdown Live! on their new channel, The USA Network. We were all so excited to see where our favorite WWE Superstars were headed but even more so, we were on the edge of our seats to see which NXT Superstars were being drafted to the main roster. As the evening rolled on, we learned Finn Balor and Nia Jaxx were drafted to Monday Night Raw while The American Alphas Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Mojo Rawley were heading to Smackdown Live! Triple H was tweeting throughout the night whenever a member of the NXT roster was called up, and posted this heartfelt tweet when the draft had ended Tuesday Night.
I feel like Triple H feels like a father to his NXT roster. He raises them, disciplines them, helps them reach their fullest potential until it’s time to let them go out into the world and conquer it. We all know he’ll be watching them on their respective brands doing big things. As will we!

This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from none other than the Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon.
Regardless if you play or not, Pokémon Go has taken the world by storm since its release almost two weeks ago. It’s all over television, newspapers and radio. My boyfriend plays it, several of my co-workers play it, and I’m certain some of my readers do also! I have to say I was surprised to learn that Mr. McMahon himself plays it as he sent out this tweet on Tuesday:
Although surprised, I was more amused and entertained at the thought of Vince McMahon chasing Pokémon, let alone this tweet. Could you see him running around backstage to catch one of these guys or interrupt a board meeting to? The thoughts alone are entertaining in themselves. Got to catch them all!

This week’s Superstar Tweet of the Week comes from The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles.
On this week’s Monday Night Raw, each member of The Club discussed what they would be doing to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. Gallows, Anderson and Styles informed everyone, including John Cena, of their plans and each of their plans ended with “Beat up John Cena!” Styles told Cena anywhere he was, The Club would also be there to beat him up. “Beat up John Cena” quickly became a meme and statement The WWE Universe began utilizing in every way possible. Even AJ Styles himself began using it in his tweets, just like this one from Thursday.
HAHAHA I love it! And so does rest of The WWE Universe. Now I just have to find a way where I can throw out “Beat up John Cena” in a hashtag or sentence…
