Another member of the WWE roster requests to be released. This time, an announcer.
Eden Stiles, real name Brandi Rhodes, requested her release from WWE on Tuesday. She took to her official Twitter account to announce her departure and future endeavors.
It’s not a surprise that Brandi requested her release, as her husband Cody Rhodes was granted his requested release just four days prior. I think it makes sense for Brandi to request a release, not just for her other projects but to be with her husband during this new chapter in both their lives. I wish both Brandi and Cody nothing but the best.
Cody Rhodes took to Twitter the day after his release was made known to the public to release his one and only statement. Cody’s statement has been provided below:
Before this statement was released, myself and many others from the WWE Universe felt he requested his release due to creative differences. It seems that was the case as well as not being able to reach the career goals he had for himself. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to have these dreams you’re working so hard to achieve yet continually get roadblock after roadblock in your way. I hope Cody will set new goals for himself outside of WWE and be able to achieve each and every one of them. Regardless of what his life after WWE has in store for him, I wish him nothing but the best.

It was announced by WWE.com that they granted Adam Rose’s request to be released from WWE on Monday, May 23rd. WWE.com released the following regarding Rose’s release:
WWE has granted Adam Rose’s request to be released, as of today, May 23, 2016. WWE wishes Rose the best in all his future endeavors.
Adam Rose has yet to release any statement on Twitter regarding his requested release, but I, like WWE, wish him the absolute best. Rose was currently on a 60 day suspension due violation of their wellness program and was recently arrested for domestic violence. Hopefully, Rose will make the most of his release and live a happy, fulfilling life.
Steve Lombardi, better known to the WWE Universe as The Brooklyn Brawler, was released after 30 years with WWE.
Pro Wrestling Insider reported that Brawler was released this past Friday, along with a few other members of the roster such as Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Hornswoggle, Cameron, El Torito, Santino Marella, Zeb Colter and Alex Riley.
Although he hasn’t been active in the ring for many years, he has made occasional in-ring appearances and has worked behind the scenes. WWE hasn’t commented on Brawler’s release, but he sent out some ambiguous tweets that could possibly be regarding his release.
The Brooklyn made his WWF debut in 1989 and although he lost a majority of matches, he was still a fan favorite especially in hometown of New York.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done in your 30 years with WWE, Brawler!
It was announced on WWE.com that WWE had released several members of their roster such as Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Hornswoggle, Cameron, Santino Marella, Zeb Colter El Torito and Alex Riley.
These former WWE Superstars took to Twitter to say their goodbyes to the WWE and the WWE Universe. Zeb Colter and Alex Riley have yet to comment.

Santino Marella (@milanmiracle)
El Torito (@WWEElTorito)
The only one I can say I’m surprised to see released is Cameron. She took the initiative to remove herself from the main roster and head to NXT to get more training. I guess she wasn’t doing as well as she and WWE hoped. I am sad to see Wade Barrett and Damien Sandow go, but I knew their time was coming. They both weren’t being utilized much and it was no secret Wade wasn’t happy with his place in the WWE recently. I hope success finds everyone begins their new chapter outside of the WWE and conquer new ventures.
