Women’s Division match announced for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn

nxttakeoverWith the success of last year’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, it has drawn the attention of international talent who want to compete against the best in the business.  William Regal continued on, proclaiming that this year’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn will be the TakeOver yet.  I’m sure many of the WWE Universe agreed with Regal’s statement, but there is one person who didn’t and that individual was Billie Kay.  The Femme Fatale doesn’t feel it’ll be the best TakeOver event unless she’s a part of it.  After all, she debuted on Smackdown last month and has had nothing but victorious matches in NXT.  Billie Kay broke the news to Regal that if he wanted NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn to be the best, she has to be competing.  Regal agreed, and informed Billie that she would have a match against the debuting NXT Superstar, Ember Moon.

It’s ironic that this match was announced last night, because I was thinking to myself that day if the General Manager would add any additional matches with one of them including the Femme Fatale. I’m a huge fan of Kay’s and am excited that she will be Ember Moon’s first opponent in NXT.  Something in my heart tells me though that Kay’s winning streak will soon come to an end this Saturday.

Be sure to check out the debut of Ember Moon, Billie Kay and NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn this Saturday, August 20th on the WWE Network at 8pm ET!

More matches announced for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn

nxttakeoverAs the heat and humidity continue to heat up, so does the card for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. Three new matches have been added to the event which we know will only add more entertainment and excitement to this special event!  These matches are as follows:

Bobby Roode vs Andrade “Cien” Almas

After picking up the W in his match against Angelo Dawkins, Bobby Roode came out to congratulate Almas. Not because of the win, as it was – if anything – mediocre, but the match Almas will have at NXT TakeOver. His opponent will be none other than Bobby Roode himself.  You see (according to Roode), NXT TakeOver needs to be more sophisticated and of course, more glorious.  15,000 people are not paying to see Almas, but are paying to see him.   With Roode now being apart of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, this night will be glorious!

Austin Aries vs No Way Jose

After the news of Roode’s match with Almas, Austin paid a visit to General Manager William Regal.  With NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn being a special event, how special could it be if “The Greatest Man of All Time” isn’t on the card?  A slew of NXT’s hottest talents all have opponents, but not him.  William Regal agreed with him and had the perfect opponent for Aries.  Someone Aries knows very well, someone he’s been avoiding for quite some time: No Way Jose.  Aries corrected Regal, as he has not been avoiding him but ignoring him since No Way Jose is not in the same league as Aries.  At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, he’s going to show William Regal why.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs The Revival’s Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson for the NXT Tag Team Championship

William Regal had met with the tag team in regards to the current standing of their relationship since their match against each other at last week’s Cruiserweight Classic. The reason being is Regal scheduled a title match against the current NXT Tag Team Champions Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.  The men were thrilled by the news and reassured Regal that they are still brothers and are ready to take on The Revival at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

If I wasn’t already excited for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, these matches would have done it for me.   SummerSlam weekend is just getting better!  If there any additional matches added to this incredible event, I will certainly let you all know!

WHAT . A  . SHOW.  NXT never, and I mean never, disappoints.  This event had me completely engaged from beginning to end.  I am so thrilled for those who retained and won their respective Championships, they put it all on the line and truly deserved their victories tonight.  I would without a doubt rate this event a 10/10 with Ty Dillinger vs Andrade “Cien” Almas being the match of the night.  It was so fast pace filled with awesome maneuvers and highly entertaining.  I hope they reunite in the ring sometime in the future because these two just have fantastic chemistry together.

Another match announced for NXT TakeOver: The End

NXT announced on their official Twitter page that “The Perfect 10” Ty Dillinger will face the mysterious Andrade Cien Almas, who will also be making his NXT televised debut, at NXT TakeOver: The End.

I love Ty Dillinger and couldn’t be more thrilled that he’s been added to this incredible card.  Ever since seeing the teaser for Almas, I’ve been curious as to when The NXT Universe will be introduced to him and as well as his style of wrestling.  Looks like NXT TakeOver: The End is going to be the night all of our questions and curiosities will be answered.

Be sure to tune into NXT TakeOver: The End this Wednesday, June 8th at 8pm EST only on the WWE Network!

More matches announced for NXT TakeOver

It’s no surprise that NXT TakeOver is always an excellently stacked card and this one is shaping up to be no different.

NXT’s General Manager William Regal announced at the beginning of this week’s addition of NXT that since Bayley was not cleared to have a rematch against Asuka from the NXT Womens Championship that a Triple Threat Match would determine a new #1 Contender.  These women would be Carmella, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax.  This Triple Threat match was scheduled as the main event for the evening, but before I release the results of that match, let me get into the details of the other match announced for NXT TakeOver that same evening.

YES!  You are seeing that photo correctly.  No need to adjust your computer screen or clean your glasses (if you wear them) because Shinsuke Nakamura will face Austin Aries at NXT TakeOver!  The King of Strong Style vs Greatness.  William Regal liked the sight of them as a tag team and also as opponents, so he booked the match!  As much as I am excited to see American Alphas vs The Revival again, this match between Nakamura and Aries is the match I am looking forward to the most.  Ugh, it’s going to be EPIC!

Now to announce the #1 Contender from the Triple Threat match.  Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Nia Jax really fought tooth and nail for the spot, but it was ultimately Nia Jax who was triumphant and will be facing Asuka for the NXT Womens Championship at NXT TakeOver.

More matches will be announced as they are made public.  Make sure to tune into NXT TakeOver on Wednesday, June 8th on the WWE Network!

Matches announced for NXT Takeover

William Regal announced two matches this week for the upcoming NXT Takeover taking place on Wednesday, June 8th.

On Facebook Live, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor sat apart from each other as William Regal announced that their Championship match will take place in a steel cage, a first in NXT history.  These two will have to make this match count because after this match ends, so does this rivalry between them.  They might as well hit hard and go hard on each other while they can. Joe and Balor signed the contract with Regal as the witness, sealing the deal at NXT TakeOver.

After congratulating former NXT tag teams Enzo and Big Cass and The Vaudevillians for their rise to the main roster, Regal announced that a rematch will occur between the American Alphas and The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championships at TakeOver.  This was my absolute favorite match at NXT TakeOver: Dallas so I’m incredibly excited we’re getting to see these two dynamic teams face each other once again.

More matches for NXT TakeOver will be announced as they are made known to the public.
