WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler was recently inducted into Kent State’s “K” Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as an amateur wrestler while attending Kent State from 1999 to 2003.
Dolph Ziggler reminisced on his time as a member of Kent State’s amateur wrestling league, telling WWE.com, “I had a very fun career there,” Ziggler told WWE.com. “We did a lot of cool things, we won a conference championship, [and] a lot of special bonds [were] made with friends who I still talk to to this day.”
Dolph’s accomplishments while wrestling for Kent State include graduating as the career leader in victories, being a three-time Mid-American Conference Champion and being one of three members in Kent State history to be a four-time NCAA qualifier.
“I started wrestling when I was five,” Ziggler said. “I lost my first match and cried in front of my dad, and I never wanted to do that again. I grew from that day on, and when I get up there I will have a couple of people to thank.”
Dolph Ziggler took to Twitter to share this amazing moments with his family, friends and fans.
Congratulations to Dolph Ziggler on this incredible achievement!
Sheamus and Cesaro met once again in the ring for the second match in The Best of Seven Series. Sheamus went into this match with one victory he earned at SummerSlam and successfully secured another victory on Monday Night Raw. The score is now Sheamus 2, Cesaro 0.
During that match, Cesaro received multiple bruises on his lumbar spine. It was when Sheamus backdropped Cesaro on the turnbuckle into a Cloverleaf that Cesaro was injured.
No other information about Cesaro’s injury (time out, severity, etc.) has been provided at this time, but I will certainly update you all as soon as it becomes available.
Finn Balor had shoulder surgery on Tuesday, August 23rd to repair the injury he sustained during his WWE Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Finn released the following photos on his official Instagram page today regarding his surgery.
WWE.com released photos of Finn’s surgery prep, the surgery itself and post-op. You can view those photos here. *Photos contain graphic images*
Today is the first day of Finn’s recovery and I know I’m not alone when I say I am sending him all of my love, support and prayers during the next few months of recovery!
Just one day following the news of Paige and Alberto Del Rio’s 30 day suspension, Eva Marie is the next WWE Superstar reported to be suspended for 30 days by WWE. Like Paige and Alberto Del Rio, Eva failed had her first wellness violation with the company.
While Eva Marie didn’t address the topic directly, she did make this post on her Instagram account today:
More information on Eva’s suspension will be updated if any additional news is released.
WWE Superstar, Total Diva and “All Red Everything” Eva Marie announced on Instagram that she will be launching her own clothing line, NEM Fashion. She has created an Instagram page for NEM Fashion and provided the website link as well, but her clothes aren’t featured just yet. Instead, a pop-up comes up allowing you to sign up to be notified of the debut of NEM Fashion, updates, news and 10% off your first purchase.
And to answer your question (if you were one of my readers asking it mentally) yes, I signed up. I’m not big on fashion, but I love Eva’s style. It’s sexy, classy yet casual. This line however looks more like its high end fashion, but I’ll still check it out. My only concern is that her clothing will be made for those of her body type. Her fans and women come in all beautiful shapes and sizes and I hope she kept that in mind when designing her line.
Here a screenshot of NEM Fashion’s Instagram page:
This is definitely not the way I wanted to start my Sunday morning.
Shelton Benjamin announced on his official Twitter page that his WWE return will be postponed due to a torn rotator he was unaware of. This disappointing news comes just shortly a little under two weeks ago when The WWE Universe learned of The Gold Standard’s return to WWE and Smackdown Live!.
Talk about a blow to the gut. I was ecstatic when I heard Shelton was making his return to WWE. I can’t even begin to imagine how Shelton is feeling, riding the high of his return only to have it postponed for who knows how long. At least he is focusing his attentions on surgery and recovery, rather than the emotions this unfortunate news must bring.
I am sending nothing but love, prayers and support Shelton’s way and will be sure to keep you all updated on his surgery, recovery process and of course, his return to WWE!
On Friday, Ryback took to his official Instagram page to announce he is no longer apart of the WWE roster. Many in The WWE Universe thought he had been released or requested release when he had written a statement on his official Tumblr regarding his undetermined future in WWE.
The Big Guy does not seem phased by his departure from the company, as he has many things in the works. His new website feedmemore.com will go live this upcoming Monday, August 8th followed by a Feed Me More Clothing Line and Nutrition, a motivational book and of course, he has every intention of wrestling full-time. The man sure knows how to keep busy and have a successful life after WWE!
