WWE Money in the Bank 2016 Pay-Per-View Results

Here are the results from tonight’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view:

mitb2016

The Golden Truth (Goldust and R-Truth) vs Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango)

Winner: The Golden Truth

Details: Tyler Breeze and Fandango had a serious case of sunburn, which not only did Goldust and Truth find hilarious but took advantage of.  Even though Breeze and Fandango had their moments in the match, it was ultimately The Golden Truth who dominated this match and were the ones with their hands held in victory.  This was their first win against Breezango so this victory was particularly special for the unique, lovable duo.

The Lucha Dragons vs The Dudley Boyz

Winner: The Lucha Dragons

The New Day (c) vs Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs The Vaudevillians for the Tag Team Championship

Winner: The New Day

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

Winner: Baron Corbin

Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs Natalya and Becky Lynch

Winner: Charlotte and Dana Brooke

Details: After the match, a frustrated Natalya attacked her tag team partner and friend Becky Lynch!  Natalya left the ring and arena wiping tears from her eyes as Becky tried to recover from Natalya’s attack.  I’m sure Natalya will speak about her actions in detail tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw.

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus

Winner: Apollo Crews

AJ Styles vs John Cena

Winner: AJ Styles

Details: After John Cena hit AJ Styles with the Attitude Adjustment, Cena pinned Styles which would have been a victory but the ref was knocked out of the ring.  During this time, The Club’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson came out and hit Cena with their finishing move The Magic Killer.  Immediately after, AJ was put on top of Cena for the pin and the ref thrown back into the ring.  The ref slapped his hand on the mat three times and had ordered the bell to be rung, making Styles the winner.

Kevin Owens vs Cesaro vs Alberto Del Rio vs Sami Zayn vs Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho in the Money in the Bank match

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs Titus O’Neil for the United States Championship

Winner: Rusev

Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Winner: Seth Rollins

Details: Seth Rollins successfully defeated Roman Reigns after hitting Reigns with a Pedigree.  Rollins’ celebration was cut short when Dean Ambrose’s music kicked on.  As Rollins faced the Titantron, ready for Ambrose, Ambrose sneaked up on Rollins from behind and hit him in the head with the briefcase.  Dean told the referee he was cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase which the ref informed Lillian to make the official announcement.  The WWE Universe erupted and Dean quickly got back into the ring and hit Rollins with Dirty Deeds.  Dean pinned Rollins to become our new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Now THAT is how you end a pay-per-view!  Overall, I would give the show an 8/10 since I did get really excited about Dean cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.  Although there were several great matches this evening, I would have to say that The Golden Truth vs Breezango  won match of the night for me.  For me, I just found it to be highly entertaining not to mention The Golden Truth had their first victory against these two goons.  I’m sure many will disagree, and that’s perfectly alright.  I thoroughly enjoyed that particular match from beginning to end.

So guys, what did you all think of tonight’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view?  What was your favorite match or moment?  What would you yourselves rate it?  Let me know by leaving a comment below!

Final matches announced for Money in the Bank

The final touches have been made to the most exciting Money in the Bank pay-per-view WWE has had in years.  These matches have been created due to the intense feuds boiling between these individuals and will meet in the ring to settle the score.  Whether this ends the feud entirely is undetermined, but it allows those involved to release the anger and tension towards one another – on one another.  The following matches include:

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus

mitbcrews

This feud occurred when Sheamus was bragging about his recent role in the new Teeange Mutant Ninja Turles movie where he plays the role of Rocksteady.  The big-headed Sheamus continued to brag on and on about his recent role when he was interrupted by Apollo Crews.  Crews was trying to bring Sheamus back down to earth but the WWE-turned-movie star felt “the rookie” as Sheamus has deemed him was jealous of his success.  Interference during matches and sneak attacks occurred since their encounter and resulted in this match for this Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Natalya and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke

womensmitb

We’re all aware of Charlotte and Natalya’s feud the last few months for the Womens Championship.  Now that Charlotte has ended the working relationship with her father Ric Flair, Charlotte has recruited the new member of womens locker room, Dana Brooke as her protege.  Becky Lynch and Natalya have worked together in various tag team matches and it’s been shown within the last few weeks that they also have each others backs.  Whenever Natalya was outnumbered by Charlotte and Dana, Becky would come to the rescue and vice versa.  Natalya and Becky even tried to help Dana by warning her about Charlotte’s vindictive ways, but Dana chose to ignore them.  Now, the fight will be even as these pairs go one on one at Money in the Bank.

The Golden Truth (R-Truth and Goldust) vs Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango)

goldentruth

These duos have been feuding since Fandango turned on Goldust and aligned himself with Breeze.  R-Truth came to the rescue of Goldust and The Golden Truth was born.  The two teams have had matches against one another as well as done guest commentary during the other team’s matches.  Now, it’s time for these pairs to meet once again in the squared circle at Money in the Bank.

Dolph Ziggler vs Baron Corbin

zigglercorbinmitb

These two have been going back and forth since after Wrestlemania 32.  We all thought the feud was ending at Extreme Rules, but it looks like these two have way too much animosity for it to end.  Maybe Money in the Bank will be the night that this feud will end once and for all, however neither one will be happy if they aren’t the ones having their hand held in victory so it wouldn’t surprise me if it were to continue.

The Lucha Dragons vs The Dudley Boyz

dudleyz

There is no feud occurring between these two teams so I believe this match will be kicking off the pay-per-view.  The Lucha Dragons are high flyers and The Dudley Boyz are violent so I think this match will be entertaining!

Be sure to check out these matches and more on Money in the Bank Sunday, June 19th only on the WWE Network!

Fatal 4Way match announced for Money in the Bank

If Teddy Long were running things at WWE, let alone Smackdown, he would create a Fatal 4Way match at Money in the Bank for the Tag Team Championship.  The tag teams who would partake in such match would be The New Day, The Vaudevillians, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.  Stephanie McMahon liked the idea so much that she booked the match for Money in the Bank, claiming the idea as her own ( it looks like Stephanie’s old ways are beginning to creep through again…).

fatal4way

Aside from the Money in the Bank match, this Fatal 4Way is one match I am really looking forward to for so many reasons.  One being these tag teams are on fire and are really dominating WWE in their own, unique ways.  Another reason is this will be Gallows and Anderson’s first opportunity at tag team gold.  As vicious and as violent as this duo is, it’s only a matter of time before they will be our Tag Team Champions.  Will Money in the Bank be their night or another team’s?  Or will The New Day continue to be our WWE World Tag Team Champions? (who else read it in New Day voices with hip swivels and thrusts?  Because I just did).

Tune into Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 19th at 8pm EST on the WWE Network!

“Dream match” announced for Money in the Bank

WWE.com announced John Cena will face AJ Styles at Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 19th.

This announcement comes days after AJ Styles’ shocking attack against John Cena on Monday Night Raw, who returned to action that evening after sustaining a shoulder injury which required surgery.

What are you thoughts on this match?  Is it really “Wrestlemania comes early” as some are calling it?  I think the popularity status of both these gentlemen is the only reason this match is receiving the kind of hype it is.  I don’t think the match itself will live up to the hype, although John Cena has surprised me in the past before.  Let me know what you guys think by leaving a comment below!

WWE Superstars qualify for the Money in the Bank match

mitb2016Photo courtesy of fansided.com

On Monday Night Raw, we witnessed WWE Superstars face each other to advance in the Money in the Bank match in the pay-per-view by the same name.  We witnessed Sami Zayn take on Sheamus, The Miz face Cesaro, Apollo Crews matched up against Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles against Kevin Owens.  The winners of each match who are moving onto Money in the Bank are:

Sami Zayn

Cesaro

Chris Jericho

Dean Ambrose

Kevin Owen

There are two more spots vacant for this match, which one of those spots was recently filled during this week’s Smackdown.  Alberto Del Rio faced Zack Ryder for their opportunity at the Money in the Bank briefcase and it was Alberto Del Rio who successfully got Zack Ryder to tap out and solidified his place in the match.

So far, I am loving this line up.  I’m surprised AJ Styles didn’t advance, but I’m happy for Owens.  He is definitely WWE World Heavyweight Championship material.  What are your thoughts on those heading to Money in the Bank?  Let me know by leaving a comment below!
