Alicia Fox vs Nia Jax (Kickoff Show)

Winner: Nia Jax

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods) (c) vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the Raw Tag Team Championship

Winner: The New Day due to interference by Xavier Woods

TJ Perkins (c) vs Brian Kenderick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Winner: TJ Perkins

TJ held his hand out to Brian Kenderick, who shook it and pulled TJ in for a hug.  What was a sweet moment quickly turned sour as Kenderick hit Perkins with what looked like to be a headbutt.

Cesaro vs Sheamus in the final match in The Best of Seven Series

Winner: No Contest

Cesaro hit Sheamus with a Lariat that sent them both over the ringside barricade.  It appeared that both Sheamus and Cesaro were injured.  After the referee and WWE’s medical team checked on the both of them, the medical staff said Sheamus and Cesaro were not able to compete.

Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho

Winner: Chis Jericho

Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley in a Triple Threat Match for the Raw Women’s Championship

Winner: Charlotte

Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

Winner: Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens (c) vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship

Winner: Kevin Owens

So what did you guys think of tonight’s pay-per-view?  I thought it was good.  I would rate it a 7 out of 10 with the Women’s Title Match being the match of the evening.  Charlotte, Sasha and Bayley stole the show without a doubt.  That Women’s match should have been the co-main event it was that good!  No surprise though, the Women’s Division kicks serious ass.

I’m looking forward to Monday Night Raw tomorrow night to see the aftermath for all those who took part in Clash of Champions.  Let me know your thoughts on tonight’s pay-per-view by leaving a comment below!

More matches announced for Clash of Champions

Clash of Champions is only six days away and General Manager Mick Foley continues to alter and add to Monday Night Raws first pay-per-view since the brand drafts occurred in July.  Here are the updated matches announced for Clash of Champions as of last night.

Rusev (c) vs Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

romanrusev

These two have been at each other’s throats for over two months now which began weeks prior to SummerSlam.  Rusev and Reigns had a non-title match (and what one hell of a match it was!) on Monday Night Raw days before SummerSlam which Roman picked up the victory, but SummerSlam did not play out the same way for the former WWE Champion.  Due to Rusev sustaining an injury prior to their match at Summerslam officially starting, the title match never occurred.  I was wondering when these two would have a rematch, but with Roman’s name entered into the WWE Universal Championship picture, I thought maybe it was a thing of the past.  I was wrong, as Rusev intervened in Roman’s qualifying match last week on Monday Night Raw, costing him an opportunity at the coveted WWE Universal title.  Mick knew he had to make things right with Roman, so last night on Raw, he scheduled a rematch for Roman Reigns to take on Rusev at Clash of Champions for the United States Championship.

Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

womenstriplethreat

Last week on Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Dana Brooke competed for the opportunity to take on Charlotte at Clash of Champions for the Women’s Championship.  It looked as if Bayley had it in the bag, until Sasha rolled Bayley up for the pin and to become the #1 Contender.  The Women’s Champion and her protégé Dana Brooke watched that match back and noticed that while Bayley’s shoulders were down, so were Sasha’s.  They addressed this to Mick and Mick decided, unknowingly to Dana Brooke who ignited this idea, that the Women’s match at Clash of Champions will now be a Triple Threat Match.  That’s right; Charlotte will not only face Sasha Bank this Sunday, but Bayley as well for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Brian Kenderick vs TJ Perkins (c) for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

perkinskendrick

The Cruiserweight Division made its debut last night on Monday Night Raw, with four of the division members competing for an opportunity to face TJ Perkins for the Cruiserweight Championship.  These men consisted of Rich Swann, Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander and Brian Kenderick.  Although a rematch between Gran Metalik and Perkins would have been amazing, Brian Kenderick defeated these three men in order to compete for the Cruiserweight Championship.  Perkins and Kenderick have never met in the squared circle during the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament, so to see their first encounter at Clash of Champions is going to be so exciting!

Nia Jax vs Alicia Fox

niaalicia

Two member of Raw’s Women Division, Nia Jax and Alicia Fox, will be kicking off the pay-per-view this Sunday.  Their feud, although still fairly new, is fierce.  Their only encounter in the ring on last week’s Monday Night Raw was vicious and resulted in Nia bulldozing Alicia through the ringside barricade.  Will the same disasterous fate find Alicia Fox again?  Or will she prevail against the dominant, undefeated force that is Nia Jax?

This question and more will be answered by tuning into Clash of Champions this Sunday, September 25th at 8pm ET only on the WWE Network!

Title matches announced for Clash of Champions

I don’t know about you, but I celebrated my Labor Day weekend with a ton of delicious food while surrounded by family out in the sun. Of course, what better way to cap off this three day holiday weekend than with Monday Night Raw!  During last night’s show, Championship matches were announced for Raw’s upcoming pay-per-view Clash of Champions.  These come as no surprise (to me, anyway) and are as follows:

clashofchampions

Kevin Owens (c) vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship

During Kevin Owen’s celebration for becoming our new Universal Champion, Seth Rollins interrupted and fired off his frustrations of Triple H’s interference with the match, costing Seth Rollins the title. Shortly after, Stephanie McMahon indefinitely suspended Rollins which Foley quickly countered.  He reminded Stephanie not only to not allow her personal feelings get in the way of business but that she hired him to create the matches.  Foley feels Rollins is entitled to a rematch and scheduled that to take place at Clash of Champions.  At the end of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns came out also wanting his opportunity at a rematch so Foley declared if he can defeat Kevin Owens next week on Raw, that Championship match becomes a Triple Threat Match.  This is getting goooood!

The New Day’s Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E (c) vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Gallows and Anderson continue to mock our beloved two time Tag Team Champions by calling them Old Farts. They even had an elderly version of The New Day – rocking the t-shirt, unicorn headband and silver hair – come out (incredibly slow may I add) to the ring.  The New Day put an end to this charade by attacking Gallows and Anderson along with the elderly versions of themselves!  Once their title match at Clash of Champions comes around, I hope that puts an end to this feud as well.  I personally do not find it to be entertaining in the least.

Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks for the WWE Women’s Championship

Sasha Banks announced on her official Twitter page prior to Raw that she would be on the show tonight with some bad news.  Upon making her appearance, she spoke highly of the evolution of women’s wrestling and what she had to do to get to this point in her career.  Sasha was very emotional which continued to progress as she was about to release her bad news….which was put on hold due to interruption of Charlotte’s protégé, Dana Brooke.  Dana came out to finish what Charlotte started but received a Bank Statement to her surprise!  The bad news wasn’t about her injury she sustained at SummerSlam, it was bad news for Charlotte as she’s cleared and coming back for her Women’s Championship!  Poor Dana, that girl was getting beat up left and right last night.  She deserves a much needed night off HAHA.

More matches for the upcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view will be updated here once they are announced to the WWE Universe.  Stay tuned!
