Winner: Alexa Bliss

AJ Styles (c) vs Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for the WWE World Championship

Winner: AJ Styles

James Ellsworth turns heel by pushing the ladder which Dean Ambrose was on top of.

Who else loved this pay-per-view?  I was completely engrossed with all the matches and as the show progressed, the matches got better.  I would rate this pay-per-view a 9 out of 10; although this is one of WWE’s best pay-per-view (if not the best one) this year, the 10 Man Tag Team Match is what prevented this from being a 10/10 rating.  There is no doubt in my eyes that The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship was the best match of the night.  Although we had a Chairs Match, a Tables Match and a Tables, Ladders AND Chairs match, their match was undeniably the most physical.  They pushed their bodies beyond their limit while filled with passion and determination to become or retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.  Clearly, the better man won.  Congratulations, Miz.  This was truly one of your best matches and certainly a well-deserved victory.

Addressing Absence // TLC 2016 Pay-Per-View Predictions

Before I begin discussing my predictions for tonight’s pay-per-view, I wanted to address my absence for the past two months.  I apologize for not keeping wwebloggingbetty.com updated for this period of time.  When I wasn’t writing, I thought about writing, promoting and networking my blog but most importantly, interacting with each and everyone of you.  The only way to describe my reason for my absence is I get into my own head and I pull myself in different directions.  I knew it would lead me back to blogging, it’s what I am passionate about and love doing.  I intend for this to never happen again and I hope I haven’t lost you as my readers.  You are way too valuable to me, more than you realize.  I apologize for any inconvenience my absence may have caused.

Alright, now let’s move onto tonight’s TLC pay-per-view predictions!

Warrior Wednesday (Death)

The Ultimate Warrior was a phenomenon in the WWE.  He paved the way for many others to unleash their inner warriors when it came to pursuing the dream of professional wrestling.  Just like those he inspired whether it was in or out of the ring, he also had his moments of failure, victory, defeat and conquer.  In honor of The Ultimate Warrior’s legacy, every Wednesday is Warrior Wednesday.  This week, we unfortunately must discuss the passing of The Ultimate Warrior.

ultimatewarrior

The Ultimate Warrior passed away on April 8, 2014. On April 5th, Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.  He appeared at Wrestlemania when WWE honored the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 on April 6th and appeared on Monday Night Raw the following night. Warrior’s cohorts said he looked sickly during Wrestlemania weekend, stating he was sweating tremendously and breathed heavily backstage.

On the day of his death, The Ultimate Warrior had grabbed his chest and collapsed while walking with his wife outside their hotel in Arizona. The Ultimate Warrior was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  He died at the age of 54 from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Women’s match announced for No Mercy

Whether you are a member of the Bella Army or fan of The Princess of Staten Island, both parties will be happy to learn that we will see Nikki Bella and Carmella compete at No Mercy.

nbcm

Their feud began at SummerSlam, when Nikki made her return after recovering from a possible career ending neck injury.  Nikki successfully pinned and won the Six Women Tag Team match, which sparked undeniably fury within Carmella.  Since then, Carmella has taken ever opportune moment made available to her to attack and taunt Nikki.  It’s about time these two meet in the squared circle, one on one, to air out their aggression.

Which woman will come out victorious? Tune into No Mercy this Sunday at 8pm only on the WWE Network!

Cruiserweight Classic Match of the Month (September 2016)

Since The Cruiserweight Classic debuted on The WWE Network on July 13th, it has become an immediate success.  Those who may not be familiar with the cruiserweight division or independent wrestling are being introduced to a whole different world of high fliers and agility from the best talent from all over the globe.  There was no denying that The Cruiserweight Classic would be something special but these competitors have truly stolen the hearts and attention of everyone tuning in every Wednesday.  It left such an impression on me that as a blogger, I just had to dedicate a monthly blog segment in its honor aside from the weekly tournament results.  Without further ado, I bring you the Cruiserweight Classic Match of the Month.

cwcmotm

September’s Cruiserweight Classic Match of the Month is without a doubt the last match of the tournament.  Gran Metalik and TJ Perkins defeated thirty other men to get to this point and had just one more match in order to possess the title of the inaugural winner of the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament.  If that didn’t make it significant and special already, Triple H added to this monementous occasion by introducing the Cruiserweight Classic Championship belt to both competitors and the WWE Universe.  After the referee confirmed that the rules were understood and both men shook hands, Gran Metalik and TJ Perkins competed for the coveted Cruiserweight Classic Tournament and Championship!

Both men had fans rallying behind them with chants of “Metalik!” and “TJP!” engulfing the stadium at Full Sail University.  Metalik was off to a good start as he was able to get Perkins’ shoulders onto the mat early on the match, but Perkins was able to get his shoulders up to prevent a pin.  Although Metalik had his moments in the final match of the tournament, such as a Frankensteiner off the apron, it was Perkins who ruled supreme.  Once TJ hit Metalik with a Kneebar, it injured Metalik and you could see the pain and the effect it had on him.  Matalik was limping, dragging himself to the ropes whenever Perkins had the maneuver locked in and could not fully connect his signature maneuver, the Metalik Driver.  The Kneebar into a Leg Cross was exactly how Perkins solidified his victory, giving Metalik no choice but to tap out.

Winner: TJ Perkins

What a well-deserved victory for TJ Perkins.  Although I would have been happy with any of the final 8 men being crowned the victor, TJ Perkins showed us all why he deserved the title.  Even though the tournament is over, you can now watch TJ Perkins, Gran Metalik and many more from the Cruiserweight Classic dominate Monday Night Raw every week!

Clash of Champions 2016 Pay-Per-View Results

Here are the results from tonight’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view:

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods) (c) vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the Raw Tag Team Championship

Winner: The New Day due to interference by Xavier Woods

TJ Perkins (c) vs Brian Kenderick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Winner: TJ Perkins

TJ held his hand out to Brian Kenderick, who shook it and pulled TJ in for a hug.  What was a sweet moment quickly turned sour as Kenderick hit Perkins with what looked like to be a headbutt.

Cesaro vs Sheamus in the final match in The Best of Seven Series

Winner: No Contest

Cesaro hit Sheamus with a Lariat that sent them both over the ringside barricade.  It appeared that both Sheamus and Cesaro were injured.  After the referee and WWE’s medical team checked on the both of them, the medical staff said Sheamus and Cesaro were not able to compete.

Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho

Winner: Chis Jericho

Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley in a Triple Threat Match for the Raw Women’s Championship

Winner: Charlotte

Rusev (c) (with Lana) vs Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

Winner: Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens (c) vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship

Winner: Kevin Owens

So what did you guys think of tonight’s pay-per-view?  I thought it was good.  I would rate it a 7 out of 10 with the Women’s Title Match being the match of the evening.  Charlotte, Sasha and Bayley stole the show without a doubt.  That Women’s match should have been the co-main event it was that good!  No surprise though, the Women’s Division kicks serious ass.

I’m looking forward to Monday Night Raw tomorrow night to see the aftermath for all those who took part in Clash of Champions.  Let me know your thoughts on tonight’s pay-per-view by leaving a comment below!

Clash of Champions 2016 Pay-Per-View Predictions

What better way to continue the celebration of my 31st birthday than with a WWE pay-per-view?!  Last night (which was my birthday), I celebrated by attending a WWE Live event watching the Smackdown Live roster put on a killer show and tonight, I’ll see the Monday Night Raw roster do the same.  Let’s take a look at tonight’s card for Clash of Champions and my predictions on how this show will unfold.
