Warrior Wednesday (Death)

The Ultimate Warrior was a phenomenon in the WWE.  He paved the way for many others to unleash their inner warriors when it came to pursuing the dream of professional wrestling.  Just like those he inspired whether it was in or out of the ring, he also had his moments of failure, victory, defeat and conquer.  In honor of The Ultimate Warrior’s legacy, every Wednesday is Warrior Wednesday.  This week, we unfortunately must discuss the passing of The Ultimate Warrior.

The Ultimate Warrior passed away on April 8, 2014. On April 5th, Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.  He appeared at Wrestlemania when WWE honored the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 on April 6th and appeared on Monday Night Raw the following night. Warrior’s cohorts said he looked sickly during Wrestlemania weekend, stating he was sweating tremendously and breathed heavily backstage.

On the day of his death, The Ultimate Warrior had grabbed his chest and collapsed while walking with his wife outside their hotel in Arizona. The Ultimate Warrior was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  He died at the age of 54 from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Women’s match announced for No Mercy

Whether you are a member of the Bella Army or fan of The Princess of Staten Island, both parties will be happy to learn that we will see Nikki Bella and Carmella compete at No Mercy.

Their feud began at SummerSlam, when Nikki made her return after recovering from a possible career ending neck injury.  Nikki successfully pinned and won the Six Women Tag Team match, which sparked undeniably fury within Carmella.  Since then, Carmella has taken ever opportune moment made available to her to attack and taunt Nikki.  It’s about time these two meet in the squared circle, one on one, to air out their aggression.

Which woman will come out victorious? Tune into No Mercy this Sunday at 8pm only on the WWE Network!
